The large circular cloud band, with embedded thunderstorms, located off the
northwest WA coast is associated with Severe Tropical Cyclone "Marcus" (Category
4).

The monsoon trough extends across the Arafura Sea to a low near the Torres
Strait and further to the Solomon Sea. Thunderstorms are active about the
Kimberley, Top End, Gulf of Carpentaria and Cape York Peninsula.

Patchy low level cloud with isolated thunderstorms along parts of the QLD
coastline is being driven by onshore trade flow.

A low pressure trough extending from central QLD to a low near the central coast
of NSW and out into the Tasman Sea is producing thunderstorms near the central
coast of NSW which extends into the Tasman Sea.

Onshore southerly winds are directing areas of low cloud across the southern
coastline of SA, VIC, TAS and NSW.

Middle to high level cloud over southwest WA is due to an upper trough.
