Cloud and thunderstorms across the top end of Australia is associated with a
monsoon trough which extends from the Top End of the Northern Territory through
Torres Strait and into the northern Coral Sea.

Southeasterly trade flow is producing low level cloud along coastal parts of
southern Queensland and northeast NSW.

The extensive area of cloud in the southern Coral Sea is associated with Ex-TC
Linda.

A surface trough extending through the interior of NSW and QLD is generating
patchy middle level cloud.

Middle to high level cloud streaming from southwestern WA, across the Great
Australian Bight and onto Tasmania, is due to a combination of surface and upper
troughs.
