Cloud and thunderstorms over and north of the Top End NT and over Papua New
Guinea are associated with the monsoon trough.
Middle to high level cloud is streaming from the Indian Ocean over southern WA,
the Bight and the southeastern states. This is caused by an upper level jet
stream. Thunderstorms can be seen in the vicinity of a surface trough over
A cold front is moving through the southern Tasman Sea with cloud affecting
southeast NSW and northeast VIC.
