Thunderstorms can be seen around Tropical Cyclone "Iris," which is currently
located off the Queensland central coast. Bands of middle and high level cloud
are streaming away from the Tropical Cyclone over the Queensland coast and out
over the southern Coral Sea.

Most of the continent is relatively clear, under the influence of dual high
pressure systems over the Tasman Sea and the Bight. There is just some patchy
low cloud across the north of the country, which is the remnants of afternoon
convection.
