A vigorous westerly airstream continues over southeastern Australia. Low-level
cloud now dominates, stretching west to the Eyre Peninsula. The cold front has
now moved towards New Zealand, leaving cold air convective cloud over the Tasman
Sea.

A new frontal system is approaching southeastern Australia from ocean waters to
the southwest. A cloud band ahead of the system is reaching Tasmania.

An area of middle and high-level cloud is streaming down towards the Pilbara and
Gascoyne, WA ahead of an upper level trough.

Some thunderstorm activity persists over the Kimberley district of WA.
