A strong high pressure system in the Bight continues to dominate the weather
pattern over the continent, with cool onshore winds pushing areas of low cloud
onto Victoria and coastal parts of South Australia and Western Australia.
Cloud is building along coastal and adjacent inland parts of eastern Queensland
in response to an upper-level disturbance and moist south-easterly winds,
generating widespread showers.
Over the south of the country, a weak trough will affect Tasmania and southern
Victoria through Thursday, with mid to high-level cloud streaming into the
Tasman Sea as a result. Dry and relatively cloud-free elsewhere.
